Screen Printed Furniture

A new twist on up-cycled furniture.

I have wanted to try this for ages, and as I have just moved into a new home, I thought it was the perfect opportunity. I think the experiment paid off and created something really quite beautiful. After staining the drawers a darker shade, I decided to print retro geometric patterns onto the drawer fronts. I then finished them off with some antique brass handles. I love them!

How to print a five colour screen print....

This illustration has no overlapping layers and so can print from one screen by masking out the parts of the print you don’t want to print. Printing each colour separately starting with the black first so it it easier to position the different colour birds.
